Day After Christmas

Wow! What just happened? An explosion of sorts? A whirlwind of money, music, food,

lights, visitors, mail, merriment, prayers, programs, specials, goodwill, traffic

jams, presents, decorations, snowflakes and ice, booze, office parties, secret

santas, cookies and candies, silver and gold, ribbons and lace, all at a warp speed

pace. I loved it...my family, my friends, our Lord Jesus, all that love...with us.

Let's do it again next year.

Sounds of Silence

Herod's torturous reign...tired travelers...donkey stumbling over rocky road...a bustling city...an animal pen to lay thy head...a labored groan...a weary husband...a silent night...a blast of light...a baby's cry...and the world was changed.

Dear Santa

Dear Santa,
I was a very naughty girl this year. I overslept and overate. I never felt like doing laundry or cleaning up after myself. I laid around alot and watched TV. I was a real couch potato. Sorry about that. I will try to do better this next year. Can I still have some presents? If so, I could use a new comfy couch, TV remote and warm, fuzzy pj's. Thanks big guy, Jodi

I wish that everyday would be as joyous as Christmas day...I wish all little children would come into this world wanted,welcomed,warmed and loved...I wish poverty,persecution and pain were no more...I wish all people could sleep everynight, peacefully...I wish all people could eat everyday...I wish no creature were in danger of extinction...I wish Cancer was cured...I wish it was hard to gain weight...I wish my hair would grow faster...I wish these wishes would come true...and now I send my love to you.

Letter to Rudolph

Dear Rudolph,
Many reindeer kisses to you. Getting ready for the big trek? Better eat those organic super sonic oats, you don't want to blow a hoof. Check the batteries in that big, beautiful nose so bright...you have to guide that sleigh through the night. Is Blitzen behaving himself? Tell him to lay off the sauce. Be careful landing on those new fangled metal roofs...I hear they are slippery. Keep an eye on Santa, he got pulled over last year. Luckily he got off with just a warning. Give my love to everyone in SantaLand most especially the elves, who work so hard. I heard Yukon Cornelious just got back from Vegas...he was looking for the golden nugget.
When you get to the island of misfit toys, say hey to Charley in the box. Make sure my present gets to me in one piece. Last year I got a bag of glass.

Tis the season...it is in full swing...carolls on the radio...houses lit up...xmas specials on the boob tube...holiday foods...QVC and HSN...all the bargains...paper and bows...silver and gold...grandma got runned over by a reindeer...gift cards...cookies...office parties...wreaths and trees...bulbs...ornaments...tinsel...snowmen...candycanes...mistletoe...ho ho ho
