La Luna The Moon

I wrote this poem after I read an article about dumping nuclear waste on the moon.

Bella la luna the moon,
a shiny dime.
Stars and stripes in your fullness preserved,
they will be back for you.

A shiny dime,
they could pluck you from the sky like a bad eye.
They will be back for you.
Acid drums with silent cadence fall.

They could pluck you from the sky like a bad eye.
Lonely rock in the blackest black.
Acid drums with silent cadence fall
Goddess of love,mystical orb,

Lonely rock in the blackest black.
Hide behind my thumb!
Goddess of love,mystical orb,
Bella la luna the moon.
